Assistant Equipment Technician

We are looking for the right person who is hard working, reliable and responsible to join our grounds crew team as the Assistant Equipment Technician.  The individual selected will work closely with the Head Equipment Technician to learn how to service and maintain all of our golf course equipment and fleet of golf carts.   

The ideal candidate would be:

  • Someone with mechanical knowledge in regards to motors and small engines.
  • Able to troubleshoot mechanical problems/failures and come up with solutions on how to fix them.
  • Willing to learn how to weld if they don’t already have the skill.
  • Able to decipher an operator’s manual.

Duties would include but are not limited to:

  • Mechanically maintaining all golf course equipment.
  • Operating all golf course equipment.
  • Helping out on the golf course with grounds maintenance as needed.
  • Being trained on the irrigation system.
  • Assist with repairs, installations, and maintenance of irrigation system.

Maintenance Person

We are hiring a Maintenance Person to join our team.  You will be in charge of the maintenance of all of the buildings here on the Golf Course property.  This position would be ideal for a mature, semi-retired adult that is open to making their own schedule based on the Golf Courses needs.

The ideal candidate would be able to work independently, as the hours are flexible.  This could also be a contract position.

Duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • Handling basic repairs.
  • Preventative maintenance.
  • Routine inspection of equipment to ensure it’s running efficiently.
  • Overseeing contractors when professional maintenance is required.
  • Repairing machines, equipment, or structures when necessary.

Requirements:

  • Can provide and use your own tools required for a multitude of maintenance jobs.
  • Previous experience in maintenance.
  • Experience using hand tools and power tools.
  • Strong understanding of mechanics, electrical, plumbing, and construction.
  • Ability to take apart and troubleshoot machines, equipment, or devices to remove and replace defective parts.

Line Cook

Duffer’s Den is currently looking for experienced Cooks/Line Cooks. The ideal Candidate(s) would be:

  • Positive and Energetic.
  • Attentive to detail.
  • Organized and able to work well under pressure and in a fast paced environment.
  • Able to manage time and tasks accordingly.
  • A team player that has experience working with a diverse group of people.
  • A problem solver.
  • Up to date with Food Safe Certification.
  • Experienced with at least 1-2 years of being a line cook, restaurant cook, or prep cook.

Duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Executing all menu items while meeting our expectations of high quality presentation.
  • Maintaining a well stocked and organized work area.
  • Maintain cleanliness and complying with food sanitation requirements by properly handling food and ensuring correct storage.

Prep Cooks

Duffer’s Den is looking for Prep Cooks!! We’re looking to fill 2 Year Round, Full-Time positions. The ideal candidate(s) would be:

  • Knowledgeable of health and safety rules in a kitchen.
  • Positive.
  • Knowledgeable of basic cooking techniques.
  • Experienced in time management.
  • Clean and organized.
  • Patient.
  • Attentive to detail.
  • A strong communicator.
  • Able to work under pressure.
  • Up to date with Food Safe Certification.

Duties would include but are not limited to:

  • Performing routine kitchen tasks.
  • Following the prep list created to plan duties.
  • Labeling and stocking all ingredients on shelves so they can be organized and easily accessible.
  • Measuring ingredients to be used in cooking.
  • Preparing the cooking ingredients by washing and chopping vegetables, cutting meat, and other meal prep.
  • Ensuring that all food and other items are stored properly.
  • Complying with nutrition and sanitation guidelines.
  • Maintaining cleanliness and complying with food sanitation requirements by properly handling food and ensuring correct storage.

Servers

Duffers Den is currently looking for Server(s) to join our team! This would be a Full Time or Part Time positions(s) as we are open all year round.

Job duties would include but are not limited to:

• Serving guests with food and beverages in a positive and friendly manner.
• Presenting ordered choices in a prompt and efficient manner.
• Maintaining dining ambiance with a positive and enthusiastic attitude.
• Protecting establishment and guests by adhering to sanitation, safety, and alcohol beverage control policies.
• Transmitting orders to bar and kitchen by recording guests’ choices and identifying guests’ special dietary needs and special requests.

• Serving orders by picking up and delivering guests’ choices from bar and kitchen and delivering accompaniments and condiments from service bars.

The ideal candidate(s) would be:

• Energetic.
• A good communicator.
• A team player.
• Professional.
• Previously experienced in the food and beverage industry
• Up to date with Serving it Right certification.

• Experienced in bartending. This is considered and asset but not necessary-we will train the right individual!

Dishwashers

Duffer’s Den is currently seeking Full Time or Part Time Dishwashers.  The responsibilities included are but are not limited to:

• Maintaining a clean kitchen, properly washing and sorting soiled dishes.
• Keeping dish area free of clutter and organized.
• Setting up dish stations, including dish machines and sinks.
• Maintaining clean and dry floors throughout the shift.
• Properly washing, stacking, and storing china, glassware, silverware, cookware, and storage containers.
• Changing water of machines and sinks as required by business levels, and properly using chemical dilutions.
• Maintaining trash cans throughout shift and removing full trashcans and boxes at the end of each shift.
• Maintaining the dry storage area and the organization of storage shelves.
• Following the posted daily dish cleaning duties.

• Assisting in any other duties set forth or requested by the kitchen staff as needed.
